Instability with LANParty NF4 Ulta-D

Hey guys,
I'm having some trouble with the BIOS settings for my new Ultra-D. My inital installation and setup of the board was flawless. Hooked everything and it powered on, installed windows, and booted great just fine. Now I want to play around with some overclocking. I've used clockgen and some other utilities to take my Wincester 3500+ up to 2.5 at 227x11. At the speed it runs SuperPI to 32M digits fine, runs Prime95 for an hour, and generally seems stable. However if I reboot and try to set the exact same setting in my BIOS it will not boot to windows. The thing is it seems like if I try and change my BIOS settings AT ALL it will not boot to windows. If I use stock settings for everything and try setting vDimm to 2.9V, it won't boot. Try setting chipset voltage to 1.6, won't boot. The only thing that I can change is setting my memory timings to their correct latencies.

It's possible that my proc is no a good overclocker or what have you, but at stock speeds I see no reason why this board should not boot to windows because of simple increases in vDimm or chipset voltage. Again, if I adjust these values from within Windows it works fine and seems very stable, but not within the BIOS.
 
1) you have a DFI board: you need a bios saviour, or you will be left crying at some point while trying to OC the thing.

2) have you tried booting to safe mode after making some of these changes to see if it will boot in that way? if you can, try doing a proper soft restart from there, and try for normal windows.

3) have you tried for memtest stability after changing bios settings, before going for windows?

4) are you running the most recent bios version? did you back off to optimized defaut setting before flashing, if you have updated?

5) DFI == Digital Flower International (or Incorporated), and much like a real flower, so much as a stiff breeze can mess it up. (in my experience, at least)
