Inspiron e1405 drive compatibility

[QuikSilverMD]

Hello,
Maybe a dumb question -- but I've got an old inspiron e1405, and the stock 100gb 5400 rpm drive is dying, and i'm curious if this laptop is capable of running a 7200 rpm drive as a replacement. Are there any known hard drive incompatibility issues with the e1405?
Thanks.

There is no compatibility issue between 7200rpm and slower drives. I think this is a SATA drive - why not put in a Momentus XT hybrid drive and get Raptor level performance?
