At some point soon I will either be getting a new job or getting a check from a big project, and when I do I'll be celebrating by picking up a raspberry pi. I want to use it as a media front end for my storage/work room. I've been looking at cases, but most of the stuff out there is boring little plastic boxes. So now I'm trying to think of other things I could put the pi in. I'll need to cut some kind of hole/holes for wires, so I was thinking about finding an old wooden cigar box, but that also feels a little boring. So I figured I'd seek some outside inspiration. Thoughts?

Think about how and where you are going to use this little guy. You might not even need a case if you want to mount it to the back of your TV or under your coffee table. Cigar box is a good idea though.

It's going on a makeshift shelf with a spare monitor in my work room. So it's just something to watch media on when I'm painting or fixing stuff. I could just zip tie it to the back of the monitor, but now that I have an actual work space and tool, I figure this is a chance to do something fun.

...maybe a little tool box of some kind...

Maybe Like an old CD-ROM bay enclosure or something. Rip out all the guts and just have a sleeper PC inside of a CD-Drive.

Ooooh...just have it sitting there, next to the monitor, sure would confuse people...
