I didnt know if i should have stuck this in OCing and cooling or what so i figured id stick it here and if a mod sees it better somewhere else please move it :)

What are typical inside case temps?
Reason i ask is i got a X-Dreamer case (one witht he temp display on the front) and the probe for it is hangin about mid case and im getin a reading on the front of 86.5* F

only got one fan blowing in and one top exhaust fan (addin more, just need ot clean them up)

I was just curious what a good temp range it should be at?

Running:
1.3Ghz processor on stock HSF
2 HDDs
9200 vid card
300W PSU

No i didnt ,Thats alright, *F is good for me :D thanks tho
IF i wasnt to change it in the future, how can i?
Do you know where/if they have a manual or anything for the case?
Also do you keep that plastic tube thing covering the probe on?

there is nothing wrong with that case temp, I'm sure you could lower it by modding the case, but I wouldn't worry about that temp.

thats cool, im only running 2 fans (not counting the PSU and Processor fans) and with my office window open and it being like 60 out its down to 77

my case temp is about 26-30 with stock cooling on everything no ocing. When ocing its about 31-33c

hmm, aren't you a mod?

Good case temps should be within 2-4 Celcius above room temp.I have a LianLi PC70 w/Athlon64 4000+,dual 7800GTX,2GB Corsair XMS,four hard drives and the works.Stays close to room temp,I use server Delta fans(around 250CFM in and 250CFM out!).

Loud and cool :p

The case was modded and three fans blow cool air directly on the CPU cooler and video cards.Sounds like a turbine

What does that have to do with case temps?

I dont have a thermostat in my office so im not sure of the temp, i know it gets hot as fuck in here sometimes. To the point of me sweating like a bitch and i have to leave. Now that winters coming it will stay nice and cool in here :) Ill have to put up a thermostat to see what it gets to in here.

Man i dont know if i could live with the sound of a tubine comin from my case lol, but we'll see what i deside to do :D

what would be a bad temp range to get into?

right now im runnin 4 80mm fans (3 blowin in, one top exhaust) and the temps are running about 91ish right above the HDDs

are you fans in the back of your case blowing in or out?

2 in the rear blowing in, one in the side window blowing in, and on the top pf the case blowing out

The highest temp i saw today was 93.something

face them out, that might help you a bit, it also depends on what the ambient room temp is

i just pulled it down and stuck one of the rear ones in front blowin in on the HDDs and flip[ped the top and side one, If that dont work ill give your idea a go ,Thanks :)

thats around 30c
i had the exact same case an no offense it sucks balls for cooling
i have a thermaltake armor now with 10 mesh drive bays and a couple 120's blowing strait in and my sys temps are about 26c cpu 33-34 idle 40c load and pwm never goes above 34c

ive kindda noticed that, other then that its a pretty neat case :D

After moving those fans ariund im down to 86ish so it did help some.

Im goin to try and see what i can come up with for some better air cooling. Not realy to go the liquid route yet...

Yeah Id always recommend those to be exaust fans, one intake should be plenty or your gona call your comp a dust factory

but if you have one intake and the rest exhaust, doesnt that make a negitive vaccuum in the case and suck in alot more?

having a little more air blowing out than in and making airflow start from the front and end in the rear would probably help temps more for ur hardware esp the cpu

well i swapped the rear fan so that its blowing nout now and the temps went from about 90ish give or take to being at 77 for the last like acouple hours HUGE diffrence just by swapping around that one fan.

So from front to back:
80mm blowin in form the front
80mm blowing in from the top
side exhaust 80mm
back exhaust 80mm

Thanks for the help guys, HUGE diffrence :)
