Hey guys, I just noticed something today that is troubling me. I recieved my GTX 970, I also own an 7950 Boost.

Upon installing the GTX 970 I immediatly notice that Advanced Warfare has a crazy amount of input lag with Vsync enabled.

There is a little bit with the 7950 installed, but input lag seems to be much more with the 970.

Has anybody else experienced something like this before?

I could tell you precision x gives me crazy input lag in some games.

I was running Precision X

I will try to run it without and see if it makes a difference

DPC latency is separate from vsync.
Compare both cards with vsync disabled, does it feel the same?

Nvidia's latency is about 2-3 times higher than AMD but we're talking about 50 vs 150 microseconds.

Yes with Vsync disabled they feel the same, but with Vsync enabled, the Nvidia has much more input lag than the AMD

I believe Nvidia has a setting equivalent to AMD's flip queue size called "Pre-rendered Frames". You might try lowering that, also enable Triple Buffering is possible.

Your problem is unrelated to driver latency.

Tainted - you totally pointed me in the right direction!

Setting max pre rendered frames to 1 for Advanced Warfare has me all sorted out!

Thank you!
