Innovatek Konvekt

Very nice unit I think you will like it :D I haven't used one myself, but I have seen them up close in person and they are well made and what you would expect from German craftsmanship.
 
They're really pretty looking and well built for something designed to be a passive radiator. Unfortunately, from what I've seen/read around the forums and review sites you don't get very good temps with them and most people end up strapping a couple fans to them.

Seems pointless to me to buy a "passive" radiator that you have to strap fans to in order to make it work well (plus, I try not to have all kinds of parts outside my case, just my preference though).

Try a google search for "Innovatek Konvekt-O-Matic review" and see what you get. The reason I'm picking Innovatek myself instead of AC is because of all the reviews available. AC may (or may not be) better than Innova but I'm more comfortable spending my money on something where I know what I'm getting instead of anecdotal results people in forums report.

That's what I'm saying. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm more than happy to piss away money on something that looks really nice (building an Innova/AC loop right now) but I expect something in return for my investment.

The passive radiators from Innova are just poor performers from what I've seen. Unless he's really out to build a silent computer and that's his only consideration, I think he'll do better with a "fanned" radiator (especially since he'll probably end up putting fans on it anyway).
 
Well the Aqua Computer 1800 radiators make one hell of a passive radiator, but they also have the option to add on up to like 15 120mm fans if you so desire. The last one I saw looked like it belonged in a Honda it was so big. :eek: Ask around on the A-C forum as a couple of people have these for doing just what you want to do.

I am using a maxi sized one, with a 6800GT and a Cape X2 Pro (copper core inside a plexi chamber), along with an HPPS pump and attached filltank. According to the software monitor that came with my mobo, my CPU temp is a constant 34°C (I havent bothered to check load, since I know the probe's probably very inaccurate), and my GPU is in the low 40°s idle to mid 40's load. My computer is extremely stable, and that's what counts :) .

My maxi is a little smaller than a V2000 panel, so maybe that one will be the same size, or slightly larger. I keep the rad on the side of my desk, mounted on the feet I bought for it, since it is too big and heavy for my case.
