Infinity without serial number?

I just got an Infinity from newegg, and inbetween the DIMMs and the NB, there is a blank silkscreen where I would've expected a number to be printed, a model or a s/n. Also, right where it says revA, there is this big glob of white out.... wtf is this?

I got this from Newegg last week.

I know this sounds strange, but that is usaly the sign of a hardware bata. Kinda like the stuff they show off at shows before it's released. But I extreamly dought this as the chances are next to imposable. I would contact the manufactur. If you can prove it is one. Yea might have something something worth some bucks to the right person. strip the white out and show us what's there.

It's a legit board - mine's the same way. Go over to www.amdforums.com, and on the DFI board is Angry_Games. He was hired by DFI specifically to give support through that board, and he's johnny-on-the-spot. Show him your picture and I think he'll ease your concerns I believe all of the a+ rev boards come like that.

Yeah i just got an Infinity and I love the board I found that DFI motherboard forum to be quite useful. They have a tech support person there to answer your questions, goes by Angry_Games. I haven't had to ask any questions or post there. I found all the questions I was looking for in past or currrent threads, he seems to be on top of things.

the whiteout simply means the board was produced in China, not Taiwan.

Aww crap, and I've always trusted the Taiwanese more than the Chinese.

Oh well, the board runs like a champ, so I can't complain.

I deserve a one dollar rebate!
