Anyone know of any conflicts/issues between the Swiftech MCX462-v and the DFI Infinity NFII?

I'm using a mcx462-v on a nfII lanparty, which is the same layout as the infinity, and it fits fine. It's a pretty tight fit, and I actually had to nudge the caps just a bit when I installed it, but it works. Also, if using a 92mm fan, it will block one of the screw holes for the motherboard. Here's a pic that kind of shows how close the caps are:

How well does that cool your CPU? I'm also getting the DFI Infinity NFII and currently have a SLK-900U. After reading about all the mounting problems with this on the DFI board, I'm considering getting something else.

It seems to do okay with the low cfm fan that I'm using. I'm running a mobile xp2400, and running at 2.4ghz at 1.8v, my load temps are around 46°C, plus or minus a few °C.

tornado's already ordered, but i'm getting a good fan controller. 'sides, i've heard that the zalman is bulky and not a fantastic oc'er. thanks for the advice, though

couldn't i get around the blocked mounting hole by installing the fan after i mount the mobo?

Yeah, you shouldn't have any problems installing the heatsink while the motherboard is already mounted. I just mentioned it because I installed the heatsink before mounting my motherboard. I didn't realize that it was in the way until I tried to install the motherboard. You can still get to the screw with the heatsink on, but it's kind of akward.

jwill do you have a Zalman CNPS-7000 mounted on your DFI Infinity? Do you have pics? Does it fit well?

i found a few guys you could pm about installation questions and pictures. the search feature comes in handy, im sure if it worked here i could find some people on this forum with the same setup...
