infantry has been free again for almost a year, and no one told me...

and it's not nearly as cool as it used to be...
and now i feel like a jerk. ;)
 
I too noticed recently it became free again. Sony wanting to lure potential buyers for their other games, duh. Anyway, the community is 1/10th the size it used to be, but I'm sure it'll get bigger as more realize no pay2play.

Main problem right now is lack of game development. Their guy went missing, or something.
 
Sony was a huge idiot when it started charging for it when they bought it up. At any rate there has been a free infantry community for a while. Some guys reversed engineered the game/server and they host their own servers. Probably one reason why its free with sony now.
 
Infantry was hot back in 01-02, but Sony killed it. Should just put some ads up there. I was a mad Squad Leader under the name Guyver... but it's been too long and I've moved on to FPS.
 
Heh, I remember playing this in Engineering class instead of listening to lectures...now I feel old.
 
If you play the free/reversed engineered edition they have done a lot of updates.
