I'm currently trying to find an affordable (read: < $300) DAC with either optical or digital input, with preamp functionality and volume that can be controlled with a remote control. It also must have line-level outputs alongside preamp-level outputs, and preferably both can be active at the same time. Does anyone know of such a device? I have been trying to search for days, but no luck.

I've also looked at some surround sound processors (Rotel RSP-1066) but it does not have line-level outputs for its digital inputs. I do not mind buying used at all.

Thanks!

The only dac+preamp+remote control+ toggled variable/fixed volume outputs I know of is the Benchmark DAC1 HDR, and that is not what any "normal" person would call affordable!

the beresford dacs series comes to mind but they do not have remotes
