inexpencive HDD cooling?

One of my HDDs is starting to get pretty hot and when it does it repeatedly does that clecking reset shit. if i leave the side of the case open to give it soem cool air, it cools down and work fine.

I dont want to damage or cause further damge to my HDDs so whats an inexpencive way to cool them?

Also whats a good temp monitor? I know there was one i wqa lookin at that fit in like 2 5.25 bays and had some other cool fuctions on it but forgot what the hell it was

pretty nice. also for the hdd cooling, just have your intake fans on it? what kinda setup you running?

Right now i just have 2 80mm fans in the back of the case, ive wanted to add more but now i guess ive got a good reason too

oh yea and the side of the case is open with a small desk fan blowin on the HDDs actually workin pretty well but not a permanent solution

What kind of case do you have? there probably are some 80mm or 120mm fan holes in the front, and you can have the air blow in over the hard drive in the 3.5" cage.

its a gigabyte case, not sure what one.ill check out whats behind the fron panel in the morning, I know it does have an exhaust hole in the top under its handle. I really should buy a new one
