Incredibly Simple Firefox Question

OK, I know someone here knows the answer. How come sometimes, after several hours of not using it, when I start Firefox 3, the Home button is Yellow and the back button is Green? If I close the browser and reopen it, it doesn't come back again, so it's nothing based on Theme (since I only have the default) and not based on site security (because I go to the same sites and the colored buttons don't come back). So what is it from? I've searched online and found absolutely nothing, which leads me to believe it's an incredibly simple answer that I'm overlooking, and will be me feel like a fool when someone answers. :confused:
