Okay, so I installed my watercooling setup sometime last week and had GPU temps of 30C flat. I've got a GTX 280. 2 days later, we're at 35C, then 40C for idle. Now I'm at 53C on idle and I can't figure out why the fuck it keeps getting hotter. Even under load (BC2) the first day, it didn't pass 38C. It was a bit colder those days, but the jump in ambient temp hasn't been that big. Anyone know what might be up?

Has the computer been on consistently since then or have you turned it off some? It might be possible your radiator can't keep up and the water is warming up some as a result.

Then again I am not very experienced (first rig) with water cooling.
 
Is your rad high in the system? Tip your system around with a bias towards getting the rads bards up, you probably have some air settled in the rad. If you head bunch of gurgling when you this you most certainly have trapped air. Maybe a hidden kink?

Picks would help.
 
Thanks guys! I think I fixed it because I'm not at 30-31C My setup has a single 120 rad on the back (where the main exhaust fan on most towers is) and a double 120 on top. I think because I had been messing with the case (laying it on its side and such) without the pump on, air got stuck in the double rad on top. I just flipped the case over, switched on the pump and let it go for a bit, and it seems good now.
