I read about people running increased voltage (up to 1.6 on CPU and 1.7 on AGP) all the time. My question is what motherboards are you using? I've never been able to get a tiny bit of speed due to voltage increase on wither MSI or Epox i875 mobos... the only thing that increasing the voltage seems to do it run the chip hotter - which results in more crashes or even lack of posting...
Has anyone documented how increasing voltage has allowed them to go faster? Or do people just increase voltage right off the bat assuming they need to? Has anyone tried reducing voltage to stock levels and seeing if there is a difference?
I dunno - tried it and it didn't work for me...
Currently running P4 @ 4.1GHz on stock voltage...
