Well since a certain amount of winnings is a poker game ;) , my budget for a new card went up to $350.

I'm currently looking at the BFG GeForce 6800 GT OC. http://www.bfgtech.com/6800GTOC.html

I just need to see some opinions on it, and see if there are any incompatibilities that I'm not seeing.

Thanks.

It is the best 6800 GT that you can buy. But good luck finding it for under $400.00.

i want to know what monitor you have.

and im pretty sure that system would bottleneck that card unless you want to direct the cards power to alot of aniso and AA.

If you up the resolution do you increase CPU dependancy? i.e. it will run games smoother with 1280x1024 2xAA 2xAF than 1600x1200 noAA 2xAF?

my monitor is only 17 inches, nothing special, well not even mid range :D

I really dont care about things looking nice, I just want to have it run smooth.
