Incorrect CPU/Sys temp?

I'm running an Athlon 64-bit 3000+ Socket 939 processor on an MSI K8T Neo2 motherboard with the latest bios/CoreCenter updates (one of which supposedly fixes temp readings).

The temperature readings I am getting at 35C for the CPU and 42C for the System. Shouldn't my System temp be lower than my CPU temp?

I have just one case fan, and I am using the retail heatsink for the CPU.

Any explanation would be appreciated, thanks.
