Ever since i got the CPU and motherboard, it has detected the AMD Athlon XP 2600+ (Throughbred) as 30-40 degrees (celcuis) higher then what it is, so overclocking has become an impossiblity because of this, and even normal running on hot days causes the ASUS A7N8X-X to think the CPU is frying and shut the entire system down.
Ive been told countlessly to flash the bios, and ive tried every single version (currently on the latest for the motherboard) and no avail.
Ive reapplied arctic silver 5 and done everything properly and yet its having this issue.
Is there a BIOS replacement or fix or something to help me, its really pissed me off and im basically sick of it now, should i buy a new cooler for the northbridge or anything? (i modded a heatsink onto the southbridge because of sound errors along time ago)
My computer is really p***ing me off with all its problems sorry, im just hoping you can help me fix it.
