Inconsistent core temps...normal?

I just got done running 5 passes of IBT with my new NH-D14 mounted.
According to HW Monitor Pro, the hottest core (2) was 60c & the coolest (0) was 51c. Cores 1 & 3 were 58c & 55c respectively.
Is it normal to have a 9c spread between the coolest & warmest?

yeah its pretty normal, especially if they were all different. if say you had 2 that were at 70C and 2 at 55C then i'd say you probably need to remount the heatsink but given that they are all different its fine. just go off the highest temp one and you should be fine. but i'd also recommend double checking the temps with real temp.
 
3 of my cores stay within 5C of each other under load while the 4th strays somewhere between 10-15C lower. Reseated and reapplied thermal paste four times, reinstalled bracket, followed proper instructions with applying thermal paste for the 920 and even tried lapping the CPU...has to be the chip in my case and most likely yours as well. In one instance before doing all of the above it reached 20C difference but now typically stayed within 10C.
 
They pretty much all exhibit that temperature split - it is nothing to worry about.

yeah just means that sensor isn't configured correctly, you can manually correct the offset in realtemp so it matches the other 3 cores. Intel hasn't had a very good track record with temp sensors since the C2D's came out.
