This happened twice today, once on the opty machine in my sig (folding on both cores) and once on a spare folding-only machine (also folding on both cores).

I keep EMIII minimized on this machine and just opened it to see what this machine was doing, and had it open for a few minutes while I did something elsewhere in the room, and I looked back over, and both progress bars had reset to 0 frames completed and it was working on a totally different protein number than it was before. Both cores BEFORE this little problem were working on other proteins that were only about 50% completed.

It also happened today on the spare machine, but only on one core on that one, the other core complete it's WU just fine.

What would cause that? It was halfway finished with a 392pt and 396pt protein and now the time it spent folding all those frames is just lost..

wtf?

Look in your FAHlog.txt & FAHlog-prev.txt file and search for "CoreStatus =".
This will pull up the end of every protien that it still records.
Check if they are early-ends or orther core errors.
If they are just an odd early-end then keep an eye on them thats it just a one off.
If there are more then check Stanford's forums and see if a batch of bad protiens have been released.
If not then you may want to test the boxen for stability.

Luck ............. :D

EM3 might also be at fault--it sometimes gets confused about which protein a machine is chewing on.
