hey all,
i was wondering if u guys could help me out with case temps, was going to ask in teh case modding section, but realised this is the correct forum for cooling
. well im on a little quest to try and get all of my main PC parts in the 30c region. as of now my temps are:
CPU: 25-28 thanks to Scythe Ninja
Motherboard: 37-43
HDD: 35-41
GPU: 45-49
i no its a tough ask to be done on Air, but considering in my old case, (which IMO had much better intake than my current case) everythng was under 30 except the GPU (still love my new case better), i think it can be done. well for starters, my CPU cooler is a Scythe Ninja, w/120mm fan. this is doing a great job, and in hot Spring temps also. my GPU (6600GT) has a Zalman VF700CU, which dropped temps around 15c from stock i was extremely happy, but i feel i can get it down to below 40. My case is Gigabyte 3D Aurora, has 2 x 120mm exhausts, and 1x120 intake. However, i have changed the intake fan to one that spins at a faster RPM, and cooled my HDD a fair bit more than the original fan (in my old case, it had a 120mm intake blowing directly to the HDD rack and the rest of the system ,while the Aurora sorta has some things in the way which decreases the airflow). As you can see from various reviews, the way the HDD cage is designed i beleive is not ideal, and hinders the front fans effectiveness for cooling anything but the HDD. THe case also has a side vent which brings in cool air. i was thinking of adding a fan, but not sure of the direction etc. If anyone could help it will be appreciated, i am really keen on getting temps lower for personal satisfaction
thanks in advance!!
PS: i do have air conditioning too
