Hello all, i just purchased a ti4800se and have a 5200ultra installed in my dads pc (casual gaming mainly RTS kinds of games and the random FPS) and i cant decide which to keep and which to put in a friends computer who barely games at all, was wondering if anyone had some insight as to which is better.
 
Honestly, the 4800 is going to kill the 5200 in (almost) everything. The 4800 does not have any DX9 features, but it is a terribly crippled card.

You will do fine with that card until you can (at least!!!!) upgrade to a 5700 or better... hell, for darn near $100 you could upgrade to a 6200 and destroy most of the FX series (especially if you unlock the other 4 pipelines and overclock the core as many people have been doing).

Stick with what you have... it will be a downgrade.

BUT! Since both vid cards are in the house, if you want to try it, go ahead! I am sure you will find the truth in these words.
