Hello.

First of all, sorry for the ambigious title.

Ok folks.
I am going to buy a new PC soon.
Its a A64 3200+.
I have gone over budget. Obviously, the biggest sucker is the 6800GT.

My question is simple. If I go for an older model...For instance, one of those sub 200$ cards... will there be significant difference in IMAGE QUALITY? I mean, obviously there will be a big drop in fps... but, in terms of image quality... will there be a difference?

Also, while we are at it, can someone recommend a sub-200$ card with GOOD image quality and GOOD fps?

6600GT AGP ~$215 = Best Value
 
www.outpost.com BFG 6800OC for 250$ and u cant tell the difference with these new highend cards and they are literally the same image...... only the fps will be lower depending on wut resolution u play.. since the 6800gt is out of ur budget the 6800NU will serve u more than enough..
 
i think the 6600GT is better tha the 6800. . . . . . . . . . .
WAY FASTER CLOCK, plus ddr3 , etc.. it just seems better and why payy more money for a 4 fps difference? look at reviews.. the 6800 isnt that much better .. it is better but by a tiny spec of a titties nipple.
 
well the 6800 has 256bit memory interface as opposed to 128bit for the 6600. Plus the 6800 can possibly be unlocked to 16 pipes.

that "WAY FASTER CLOCK" thing is all biased... umm if it's so much higher? why isn't it killing the 6800 becuase it's WAY FASTER haha anyways don't settle for teh 6600gt when u can get a 6800nu for a puny 35 bucks more and hvae a VERY HIGH chance of unlocking 4 extra pipes which will make it kill the 6600gt..
