I am trying to get my hands on the game Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge when it is released in October. As it stands there are not any plans for it to be released on PS3 in the US. It may come to XBOX from what I understand, but I don't own one of those. I've never imported a video game so I am not sure how to go about it without getting ripped off or anything. Does anyone have a website they use frequently or at least have used with some success? I've done a few Google searches and came up with some stuff, but you know they all think they are amazing services, so I'd like to hear some first hand experiences both good and bad.

Alternatively if anyone lives in New Zealand and would be willing to mail me a copy of the same game which is named "All Blacks Rugby Challenge" in that region, I would be more than willing to pay some friendly service fee.

I don't play consoles, but wouldn't the game be region restricted and your PS3 here be unable to play it?

There are no region restrictions on PS3. There are some differences with games depending on how it is delivered from your console to the TV, but HDMI does not have any of those issues.

amazon.co.uk or maybe even .de, hell im sure there will be copies floating around ebay when the game hits europe.

Thanks for that suggestion. I have tried to just add madden to a cart and act like I am going to ship it just to see how much it is going to cost and the website gets hung on the page where I tell it what items to send to what address. I will try again when I get home maybe.

Thanks for your help!

Had a quick look on some UK sites - they are all around the £40 mark since its a pre-order title. If you really get stuck let me know, I could send it on. Could be best to wait a while though since the price will drop reasonably quickly.

I think the problem you ran into at amazon.co.uk is that they won't ship certain items internationally (and video games is a good example of that) because they are not allowed to. I don't know the specifics as to why they can't/don't but others can/do, but it seems like that's the way it is. Now that I think about it- I think it's because amazon has stores in both the US and UK (or other countries) but smaller import shops only have presence in one country.

Just stick with well known stores and you should be fine.

FWIW I have successfully ordered games from shopto.net (pretty big UK games retailer) and also play-asia (gets a lot of Japanese games but actually is a great resource for imports of any kind). Game.co.uk I think is another big UK retailer and I know people have been able to import from them as well.
