Hey guys, I read in the paper today about imation becoming the first company on the planet to utilize a micro hard drive in a usb keychain like design for use on the road. I then found this article from a guy who reviewed the item, it appears that he beta tested it. He's got a TON of pictures up.

Apparently the drive can handle up to 100G's of shock, you an like.. drop this from the top of the eifel tower, go down the elevator, pick it up and pop it in your laptop and it'll still work (theoretically of course).
 
That looks nice. I have one of the 5GB Seagate pocket drives (looks like a hockey puck) and I love it. It would be nicer to have somthing a bit smaller though. Look forward to seeing these.

well.. it kinda appeared from the article.. atleast i got a sense of it.. that the writer didn't want to release the info earlier cause he didn't know how imation was sportin' their plans to release it to the public. the last thing he probably needs a lawsuit from imation over something like this.

but yes.. agreed.. it does have more coverage.. and pics.. its pretty neat.

that it does. one of the things i've heard was told to imation to fix. apparently its "reliable" i sure hope so.

thanks. i've been reading the forums for ever ~ 5 years, had an account, but then i went away for a while, and the old l/p didn't work. so whatever, i also can't find my old user in the database.. hope this isn't grounds for bannage :(
