What do you guys use?

Mainly I'm looking for something I can place documents into... Assign them to a customer somehow, and then a customer can signon and see their various documents and stuff (sales orders, invoices, stuff like that).

I'm not sure if SharePoint would do something like this or not, haven't messed with it too much. My main goal is getting to where the customer can search for their own documents online instead of having to request them.

I'm a SharePoint Dev/Admin. SP is very good for searching through documents. It can be expensive though. You will want a MOSS server and they can cost thousands just for the software.

What kind of documents are we talking about? Word Docs? Images?
 
I don't think the MOSS would work, Something that shipps (the WSS) with SBS would probably be the extent of it.
Smaller company... Just getting a server would be a big step, getting a $5K license on top of that would be sticker shock.


Docs, all kinds. Word, Images, PDFs, Excel.
