ImageQuest L90D+ @ Newegg

that's awesome.....i definetly would like to know how well it works. what's the response time.....don't see it listed on newegg or the product site.

Numbers looks impressive but numbers can be decieving. I am waiting for more review before making any decisions. The French review states 16.2 million colors but the product site says 16.7 million (the difference between 18-bit color with dithering or 24-bit color). Sounds like Hyundai may be exaggerating a little.

I'm definantly thinking of getting one. Hopefully we can find a few mroe reviews. Although Doesn't it use a samsung screen? So I'm guessing it's decent.

Well, the L90D+ arrived today, and I have to say, I am impressed. Between the price, no reviews, and hard to find in America, I thought I might be taking one for the team on this one.

This thing is beautiful. No dead pixels, super bright, clear in XP running 1280x1024 with cleartype, and not a hint of ghosting in Doom3 or UT2004.

I am runnning it DVI through my new 6600gt that arrived today too  If I had to find something negative to say about it, the menu buttons are 'soft touch' and kinda awakward. I doubt Ill ever touch them again though.

all in all give it a big thumbs up!

Well I just happen to be in NEW Egg checking up on some of the 12ms LCD's as I would like to give one a shot for a gaming rig... The I happen to see the ImageQuest listing an 8ms response time.. So I'm like, huh that's odd seeing as how I thought the lowest response times were 12ms.. This must be a type-O.. I'll go on hard to see if anyone is talking about it..

So now I have my mouse hovering over the buy now button on New Egg with just that slight hesitation.. What's the call on this LCD? Is it what it says it is? AND do you think it's a good buy?

Screw it.. I just ordered it.. :D If anything it will make a nice second display for my 19" Samsung CRT...

Bought one yesterday.... I currently have a Sony SDM-S73 (17" 16ms).

The picture quality of the L90D+ is horrid compared to my sony. The text was kinda weak, and the overall picture looked washed out.

My primary reason for returning it was the poor text quality (yes, I do have cleartype enabled). Text and pictures on the sony look much crisper and cleaner.

I've returned the LCD today...

what resolution were you running at?

1280x1024. The native resolution for the monitor.

The other thing I hated about the LCD was the button placement and the button "type". The buttons are really cumbersome to use.

I plan to use the buttons fairly often to switch between DVI and VGA (vga would be connected to my KVM).

My monitor at work (a dell 1901FP) is also leaps and bounds better than the L90D+. I do a lot of programming / reading, so text quality was important to me.

Anyone else get one yet... Mine should be here on Monday...

Now you have me worried...

I agree on the buttons, but the text on mine is awesome. I still say thumbs up :)

I'm glad you're happy with it. My problem is that I end up having to compare it to the sony I currently use. That really sucks big time... its easier when switching from crt to lcd (no comparison there... lcds rules! ;) )

if u are a gamer like myself, and do alot of website design, how is a LCD better that a CRT, like me NEC FE771sb Multisync SuperBright Diamondtron 17" monitor, I mean, to me, this is a clear picture, but are LCD's really that much better?

I play a lot of games (FPS, RTS and RPG) and program a lot.... for example, at work I have a 21" dell monitor next to a 19" dell lcd in a dual monitor setup.

The LCD is definately better IMO. Easier on the eyes.

My sony LCD (16ms) at home is great for games and the text quality is excellent for programming. I've played UT, quake3, doom3, warcraft3, and world of warcraft on the LCD. No ghosting that I can see, and the picture looks great.

well, after going to frys, and being talked into a POS sharp 17", ive decided to purchase this, and did, about 3 hrs ago, so if anyone can PLEASE put some gaming reviews on this please do, how does it perform or outperform a CRT?

Tracking my and it's sitting at the Fedex office waiting for monday morning to come home to daddy... :D

Im lucky with my Sharp 19 LCD its good for gaming and text are very good:p Its from frys too... Only thing scary bout buying LCD online is that some idiots in the S&H might mess your LCD up(you know how some shipping guys handle stuff they kick they drop and kick imagine that with your LCD... bone chillin)...

thats the beauty in returning

Although the stats are:
8ms
700:1
300cm/d
dvi and vgar
19"
DOES THE 0.294mm affect any of this, or is this still ok?

also, how is the brightness on this badboy?

No ghosting Far Cry HL2 Doom3 BF1942 Halo Movies and Pinball... Brightness I say its pretty good and most LCDs that was out last yr was like .294 and yeh it doesnt affect any 8ms??? its 25ms i think and its still pretty good to me ms doesnt really affect you I think unless you have a freakin eagle eye or somethin...

Beauty of RMAing?? eh don't wanna box it out and all that, with Fry's you just go to nearest store drop it off there and you are done bow...

Well I've been using my new LCD today and I have no beotches at all.. Just got done scrimming CS 1.6 and it was just like playing on my CRt but with better colors.. So I give it two thumbs up..

No dead pixels.. Only bitch it that ---> + <---- looks funny. Kind of fuzzy.. Other then that all other text is fine..

damn, newegg just added shipping to the monitor. I was gonna buy one too...but not with tax and shipping  . Anyone know of a relatively cheap place that carries the same monitor?

Anyone ever ordered off there? I'd trust newegg with shipping me personally in a box.. I don't know about any where else. Plus I love neweggs customer service. I'm about to order mine. This price is rediculous and I think I can manage to shell out the $100 more over the Samsung 710N-2. My only beef is that its silver but what the hell...
