My girlfriend just got me a Sony Bravia 26" LCD/HD TV. I have it paired with a BFG 7800GT videocard. Currently I have it hooked up through the DVI? Standard PC connection and the image quality is great. Would I notice a significant improvement if I purchased a HDMI/DVI cable and hooked it up that way? The cord runs around $100, and I don't want to blow the cash if the improvement isn't that great. Oh, and if you know what I am talking about, but the way that I explaining it doesn't make sense, please let me know and give me a quick crash course if you could. Thanks

using the dvi from the computer to the hdmi input in the monitor? If so you won't notice much improvement if any, they are both digital connections.

As for 100.00 for that cable, check out monoprice.com, I picked up a hdmi to dvi cable there for my dvd player to hook up(after I unplug the dvi from my pc of course) to my gateway 21" for alot less than that.

I would not get the cable. Digital / digital. 6 or 1/2 dozen.
