Hello all,
just got done building my new system using 2 XFX 7800GTX (@ 490) SLI and am having a issue with image quality in Doom 3. It seems no matter if I enable all graphics to max settings and set to Ultra High Quality , the image quality does not improve. Were there is suppose to be bump mapping on surfaces , it is not there. I have set image quality to High in the video properties of the 78.10 drivers but it doesn't help. Here are a couple of screeshots to show what I mean. Here is image using my 7800GTX cards:
Settings:

Everything enabled
Ultra High Qulity
4XAA
16XAF
1600x1200x32

Here is an Image using my ATI X800XT PE :

Same settings as above exept 1280x1024x32

Any help would greatly be appreciated, thanks.

As far as I know, Ultra Quality uses uncompressed textures. Nothing more.

Perhaps if you took the picture in the same spot, it would show the differences better?

While you're at it.

Take the shots from a better lit area. :D

In Doom 3 that's pretty much the most brightly lit spot you'll find.

OK I am officially an idiot! Thanks for the advice on taking a screenshot in the same location. Turs out I was confused on the area that I took thew screenshot with the 7800gtx. Here is the correct area to compare apples to apples. Looks pretty aewsome to me! No problems here, thanks for listening to me wine :(
