I believe there is going to be a refresh soon. I too was about to buy an iMac, but I spoke to some people on macrumors and they told me to wait it out. I went ahead and bought the new Macbook Pro 15" though for my portability needs. Blows away all my desktops at home! except for the GPU of course.
 
I use the magic wand from twelve south to connect the apple keyboard with the magic pad. then I have a logitech performance MX as a side mouse.

great setup.
 
Once there's a refresh the refurb prices will drop around $100. If there's no pressing need it doesn't hurt to wait.

Also, I love the magic mouse + BT keyboard combo. Works great with my mbp.
 
So I was wondering. Is there a good, ips display that is not apple branded but has a built-in camera???
