Quick question about this..
Have a new-ish (year old) iMac and last gen AppleTV (not the 1080p one) and I will be picking up Diablo III next week. Was wondering what or if I would be able to play it over the AppleTV through AirPlay?

I know random but I am stoked about DIII coming!!:D

Mountain Lion is supposed to support screen mirroring for applications (maybe games too?) but it won't be out until later this summer. I think the answer is "no" for now, but keep your eyes peeled for more info as the release draws closer.

Ok that is what I thought I had heard but could not find a definitive answer anywhere.. If nothing else I was just going to give it a shot and see.

Oh well - so stoked for this game .... taking the day off and everything!!!!

I've never used AirPlay for any games. Is there any lag?

I've played Real Racing on the iPad over AirPlay and there was only very minor, occasional lag, possibly caused by other WiFi traffic. It wasn't bad at all. I'm hoping that AirPlay on Mountain Lion is just as good, if not better.

Yeah, I hope so too. I've done some video streaming, and it's ok unless its 1080p. 1080p stutters like crazy, at least for me.
