hi,i've been having alot of problems with my computer lately i've reformated several times and im still having problems somehow files i download are corrupted i mean everything drivers aim etc.....and the most recent my windows system file im on my 5th reformat now and im running out of ideas i thought i may of been a virus of some sort but how could one survive so many reformats i scaned for a virus and it comes out clean...recently a friend said maybe its a memory resident virus,i've never delt with one b4 so i dunno how to get rid of it or how they work if anyone has any idea at all or knows how a memory resident virus works please post im completely out of ideas :confused:
 
do you do a complete format? i mean fdisk every partition, ever drive...no back ups whatsoever....um, next you can try where you get ur drivers...i download all the drivers i need from the net after every reinstall, first it makes sure that i dont get viruses, and it also makes sure that my system is running the best codes. erm, not to mention you should do the windows updates, and install an AV program after you get the display drivers working right...

those viruses typically dont spread well, so they aren't commonly made because viruses are meant to spread and infect mass amouts of people.

lol this is going to sound stupid.. but the theory as proven itself well.

RAM (random access memory)

when your recieving random errors, and u've tested your hard drive for errors.. its usually your ram. test your ram with memtest86, really easy prog.
