I'm shutting down the studio.

This sucks a lot, I am losing 3 folding machines- a 1.6 Turion, a 733 P3 and a 650 P3. I am moving out and going to law school. I will remain a lurker as always and hopefully I will be able to fix this loss in production as I earn more money. My AMD64 3500 will still be folding though, as it is the only compy that I can take with me.Too bad, I was really hoping to get into the top 300.

well, after law school, you'll have tons of money for MORE boxen.

That is what I am hoping. Octuplet Opterons or whatever is out in three years. That is of course after I get my Aston Martin... :D

What's the diff between a dead skunk and dead lawyer? The skunk has skid marks in front of it, har de haaaaaaaaaar.

Really though, hope you make it with a good firm after law school, as from what I've heard, getting to be a partner in a high-end firm is a sure-fire way to that Aston Martin. ;)

Let fly with the lawyer jokes! Here's one in a similar vein:

What's the difference between a lawyer and a catfish? One's a scum-sucking bottom feeder, and the other is a fish!

molson3530, I hope you don't become the kind of lawyer that advertises on TV. Please promise us you'll become a good lawyer! :(

If you were to sell off those old machines the proceeds would easily finance a upgraded socket 939 processor. If you could drop in a $153 3800+ x2 you would probably keep all your ppd.

this kid is going to law school?

A man went to a brain store to get some brain to complete a study. He sees a sign remarking on the quality of professional brain offerred at this particular brain store. He begins to question the butcher about the cost of these brains.

"How much does it cost for engineer brain?"

"Three dollars an ounce."

"How much does it cost for programmer brain?"

"Four dollars an ounce."

"How much for lawyer brain?"

"$1,000 an ounce."

"Why is lawyer brain so much more?"

"Do you know how many lawyers we had to kill to get one ounce of brain?"

Sorry oldy but goodie.

my job is dealing with lawyers...and that is really accurate for about 90% of them :)

Alternate punchline (you really can substitute whatever stereotype you want in this joke):

"Why is it so expensive? Because it's never been used!"

On a side note, I find it mildly ironic that given how much my siblings and I can hash an issue to death, none of us (9 kids total, remember) became a lawyer.

Here's another one: A Cuban, a Russian, an American, and a lawyer are sitting on a train. The Cuban opens his bag, pulls out a $10 cigar, sneers at it, and throws it out the window. The American gasps and asks "Why did you do that? I thought most people in your country were poor!" to which the Cuban replies, "We have such a surplus of these--more than we could ever use."

A few minutes later, the Russian opens his bag, pulls out a bottle of vodka, curses, and throws it out the window. The American again is astonished and asks why he threw away a perfectly good bottle of vodka. The Russian responds "We have too much of it, and it's crippling the economy."

The American thinks for a minute, then stands up and opens the door. All of a sudden he whirls around, punches the lawyer in the stomach, and shoves him out the door of the speeding train.

Haha, sorry to bring back a kind of dead thread. That picture was supposed to be just for facebook. Not a real representation. I had actually jost got back from weight training and then put on those two shirts for the pic. That is also water in the glass. Geez, way to make fun of me while I didn't have internet (Just got hooked up this evening). Not your typical boichemist, eh? On the positive side, my roomie's 2800 is begging for some folding action, just need to ask him when he gets here.

Edit: My dad is a lawyer, so I have heard them all. You can't hurt me!!! :D
