I'm not sure I should try this...

Well it looks as if its working. How hot is too hot for a CPU to get up to safely
under 60C should be fine right?

clockgen is a windows based program that controls your fsb. its been around for years for mainboards that do not have any overclocking options in bios. you will be limited to whatever speed your cpu will run at while using stock vcore (voltage), and also your memory running at stock vdimm(voltage). also, depending on your machine, you may not be able to change the heatsink/fan on your cpu (the cooler your cpu is, the more stable it is). good luck.

Well it craped out a 300 fsb, the computer locked up. 290 fsb at this point seems quite stable.

The cores don't seem to be going much over 50-51C, which is good I assume.

Looks like its not impossible to OC a dell after all. LOL. 2.6 ghz isn't as high as I had hoped for.
But I'll see what I can do tomorrow. Real stress testing not just 20min sessions.

Well I got the fsb up to 294 which is as high as it will go.
