I'm looking for a *reliable* hdd cloning software

Hi!
I used to work with Norton Ghost a long time ago (when the software was small and simple), few weeks ago I needed an hdd cloner and I tried the free solution "CloneZilla', unfortunately it's not working right (the clone hdd isn't working the same, I get some errors when running the "cloned" OS from it).

My budget isn't big, I'm not looking for anything more than $100 (free is awesome!), and it should be #1 reliable software in this section. all I care about is the 2nd hdd to be *the same*, less care about user interface, speed and such.

Many thanks!

Will it work good on Linux servers? (boot from cd, not planning to run on the OS).

Try Macrium Reflect Free Edition. You will have to install it once on a Windows machine, but then you can create a bootable Linux or Windows PE disc that has all the cloning features. I use it an am happy with it. The only part I don't like is that it doesn't work that well with hot-swapping sata drives then cloning the next disk (like you can do with old non-pe Ghost).

imagex along side gimagex and diskpart

Imagex and diskpart are MS utilities, and gimagex is a frontend for imagex.

Free and works great.

Doesn't "dd" in Linux do this? I've not used it for that purpose, though.

Ok so now I know better what I'm looking for.

- Bootable software (I rather copy when the disk isn't in use).
- Copy sector-by-sector (or if you suggest more reliable method).
- Formally support linux systems.

Somebody worked with a software like that and can recommend on it?

Thanks!
