Ok so I've only very recently been having memory errors when I have two sticks in. When I have one stick in everything works fine. My setup is 2x4gb g.skill memory and I have it slightly overclocked (see image below). I dont have the voltage very high. I tried increasing the voltage and it made it crash / error out sooner.

I thought maybe it was a problem with my ram at first but i've memtest86'd both pieces of ram alone and they both worked fine

And whenever I do a memtest86 with them both in I get errors below

Any ideas?

This is my ram:

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM-Newegg.com

I should really emphasize that I've never had problems with this machine before and I only recently noticed this because I was getting errors when shutting down or unzipping files.

check to make sure both ram slots are clean and the contacts on the sticks too. try manually setting all the ram timings and up the ram voltage a bit, try 1.55v. I had to do this with my corsair kit, had to go to 1.6v but haven't had a problem since.

When i increased the voltage it actually led it to crash during the memtest. The timings are already manually set to the recommneded 8-8-8-24
