I ordered my stuff sunday, as of right now it says its on the truck for deivery.. but its getting close to the last drop off time.. which is either 4 or 5.

Do they leave packages at the door?

It says it left at 8:50 this morning for delivery, seems like it would be here by now, but noone was home all day till 2:30.. I hope they would leave a message or something.

they dont work on sundays do they?... so they get the order all processed and stuff on monday, send it to the shipping place then another place.... itll get there dude.

No, but it syas it in my city, on the truck for delivery!!!

GET HERE ALREADY! Sorry.. you wou ld be excited to after not having a working computer for nearly a month (on another one of ours).. Im getting an Athlon 64 3000, msi neo-fsr mobo, Radeon 9800 Pro.. I am ready to test it out

then id want it fast too. :D one time i remember they kept my stuff at the last sorting facility thing on a thursday and didnt get to my house until monday. and its like 30 miles away

The first time Fedex delivered to my house, they left a thing on my doorknob saying I had to sign it, and take it down to the local Fedex office(to have them leave it at my door). I dont know if this is standard procedure, but since then I receive all my packages at the door wheather I'm home or not.

Probably not, they will leave you a note that they will try again later next day.

!!!! Ok, i didnt get anything on my door... So, even if my package is on the truck.. they wont deliver it if it goes past their delivery hours? oh.. thats not cool

usually you can leave a signed note giving them permission to leave it. i guess it just depends whether they'll accept that or if you actually have to put a waiver on file or whatever.

Residential FedEx delivery is very hit and miss. It really all boils down to your delivery man/woman. Just imagine Newman from Seinfield. I always opt for UPS for residential deliveries as they are much more consistant. FedEx is great for business deliveries however.

Check the date it supposed to be delivered. If today's date is not the same date as supposed to be delivered, then they will try to deliver it last with low priority. So that means if they dont have time to deliver all of the packages, then they wont deliver yours. Next day they will actually deliver it.

Yeah, the delivery date is set for tomorrow.. but I wanted it today.. :(. Oh well..

How do I find out where it is being held at.. that way I can pick it up..

Actually i called Fex Ex about it and i didnt wanna take up too much of their time so i didnt have them bring the order up but i said it was roughly around 1400 bucks.

SO the guy on the phone told me if i was in a safe neighboorhood and i didnt mind the package out there to write a note saying i wouldnt be around for delevry but to please leave the package on the doorstep, Date it, and sign it. THe fex ex driver was kind enough to write a little note on the box saying that i woulda needed a sig but the note covers it :D

not a really good idea. someone can come by and see the note and see where it says to leave the package and they would probaly wait and take it, i would wait for it and then if it doesnt come call fed again and if they say they delivered it call newegg

I take it you live in a very nice area. :D

agreed, one of my best friends had order a new computer online, and signed a note for it (he lives in really nice area), and some1 took it. And because he signed a note, he was liable and lost all his money .. sometimes life sucks, so have patience. :)

i beleive they leave it at the door.

actually i heard that if its a good neighborhood they leave it. heh., thats a rumor

what u can do is call fed and tell them specific instruction on where to leave the package

Wow if your buddy got a complete computer package that has a registration code that came with the comp. if the person that got it was a newb then they probably registered that reg code. Contact the company that he ordered from explain the situation ask for the reg code. Contact law enforcement and contact Microsoft. They track who reged what and generally from what IP address. Find out what company owns the IP address and track it to who used that IP to register the product at what time. From their you can go to the door recover the item an arrest the individual.

Aint technology COOL!!!

Damn, you must have been looking in my window when I placed my order Sunday! I ordered the exact same shit! The mobo and the processor BOTH went on sale Monday:mad: , but I waited to order the 9800 Pro until it went on sale for $219. Bastages.

Wrong thread?

Haha.. yeah Junior..

I got a laugh at how everything went on sale the day after i ordered.

My brother ordered a case.. it also went on sale the next day.

Oh well.. would have only saved like $15.

i know wut u mean. everytime i order something it goes on sale. but wut i alwaz do is contact the store and tell them about it (if its within 30 days of purchase) and they alwaz give you the difference because they know you will just return it and get your money back then go buy the sale item

If it's Newegg's Super Saver shipping, they will put it on the truck for delivery if they have time and room on the truck before the delivery date. This doesn't mean that it will be delivered though. If they have the time they will deliver it early, if not it rides back to the hub for the next day's deliveries. It's the FedEx variety of bulk mail :)

From Newegg:

"FedEx has my package but they have not delivered it yet. What do I do?
Please contact FedEx at 1-800-GO-FEDEX to obtain further status on your packages. The priority of delivery within the method of shipment chosen is determined by your local FedEx hub. Newegg.com would always like for your packages to be delivered ASAP. If FedEx is holding them, please contact FedEx."
