I'm confused now...

Ok so with these new nVidia drivers it looks like the 6800 Ultra is in the lead; but I haven't seen anything with the 6800 Ultra (with the new drivers) VS the X800 XT PE? What's up with that?

I'm sure more detailed reviews and benchmarks will be published once the graphics cards start seriously hitting the market... There will be comparisons though.

Every is saying with the new drivers that this nVidia card is so much better then ATI right now; that's just in reference to the pro card right?

i wouldnt say "so much better" ...i probally wouldnt even say they are better at this point. just because we need WHQLed drivers, and because without them, most reviews are gonna be flawed at some point. we just gotta wait :(

i bet in a few weeks when ati + nvidia both get out more drivers we will see who is on top.

Many people (including myself) believe that once Nvidia gets their drivers optimized, performance will be boosted quite a bit. From past experience with Nvidia cards, they always seem to pull through with their drivers. I plan on buying either the X800XTPE or the 6800U and selling this X800Pro I have. Once the latest drivers are released and tested, I will make a final decision then. I really can't complain about the performance of this X800Pro. Every game I play runs flawlessly and with 4xAA so any improvement I get with the other card would just be more FPS.

If you mean me, yes. The 3500+, however I am selling it. lol I am placing an order for the 939 FX-53 from newegg in the morning. This processor screams, but I won't be upgrading for another 18 months so I want to go with the cream of the crop for right now.

Ebay will be getting a bunch of new listings from me in the next few days.

god i wish i was bill gates :p ............. :(

lol. I don' normally upgrade stuff all year round, so when I DO upgrade, I go all out. I just happened to not go as far out as I wanted when I got the 3500 and X800Pro.

I've only had the processor for about a week now, so I want to get $450 for it. I paid $499. I am able to get it to 2.42ghz on the stock cooler, but this A8V doesn't allow me to go higher until they resolve a few things in the bios.

I got the mobo from Zipzoomfly.com. I was skeptical because when they were googlegear, I heard horror stories about them. Now that they're Zipzoomfly, they have almost as good a resellerrating as Newegg. I got the parts very fast from them and it was all free shipping.

Here's my 3dmark01 score with the current setup.
