Just picked up a PS3 and started folding on it! I have been gone a while because I didn't have anything worth folding on. Feels good to be back!

You can fold on almost anything but a PS3 is a nice addition.



 
I know I could fold on anything and I have in the past but, 120 watts and 10ppd just didn't make sense!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I'm new to the PS3 and I have a question. I read that I change a setting somewhere that will turn on folding after so many minuets no activity. I have looked around and can't find it. Anyone have an idea of how I would set that? Thanks!

I believe its under one of the menus when you push the green triangle while on the folding screen. PS3 is in use right now, can't check for sure.

Thanks I will try that when I get home. I looked around but I am not sure if I was in the right spot.
 
While folding, press Triangle. That's where the options are.
My PS3 is pretty much dedicated to folding, so on the rare
occasion when I use it to view digital photos or play a game,
I temporarily shut down folding, and then manually restart it
when I've finished wasting cycles. It is probably superstitious
behavior, but before turning off the controller, I use the Select
button to toggle off the graphics in the hopes of saving cycles
for folding. If you have mp3s copied to your PS3, you can fold
and listen to music, although folding does take a hit.

Make sure you turn on screen saver mode as well and use the least graphical option available. This increases production. The pretty graphics hurt performance.



 
I don't see anything in the options that says anything about automaticly restarting. Anyone want to show me where it is?
 
On the main screen, hilite the f@H app, hit the green arrow, and there it is. You can pick after 10, 20 or 30 minutes.
 
No problem. Just took me a minute because mine never gets turned off. :D
