Alright, finally getting settled in the new house after my 2000 mile trek across the country. The dual 5160 just came up and tomorrow I should have the rest of the farm operational. My threats list on hf.com is looking pretty sad, time to put a change to that. ;)

Now if I could only convince my wife that getting the PCs up and running is more important then putting blinds and window coverings up we wouldn't have this delay.

Put a blind or 2 up in the kitchen and living room. Just leave the bathroom window open for a few days.

Jackpot!!

Welcome back.
While your production didn't cease during your move,
it did take a serious slide. Get those blinds hung and then take
your thumb drive with you when you go greet your new neighbors! ;)

do what i did...just tell the wife that you are working on putting the house into a liveable condition just like she is...your job is to get the computers/entertainment up and running...her's is everything else :) its all about divide and conquer

Haha, yeah. One of the major problems was she was here for the delivery of our stuff and I was still driving the other cars across the country. So the movers put stuff in strange places. Half of it I'm still trying to find.

She did make one very odd decision, not that I'm complaining. In the old house we had a finished basement, this one doesn't (yet). So my gaming TV was down in the basement, she decided to have them put it in our bedroom. So now I have a 60" TV in the bedroom.

you aren't in MD anymore? :(

Nope, my wife took a job out in CO, so I decided to tag along. It was cheaper then giving her half of everything  J/K, yeah, we decided to try something new, it's only a 3 year obligation for her (fed govt), so we'll see what happens. All of our family is back in MD, so I'll/we'll be back there quite a bit.

Whereabouts in colorado?

I'm guessing I am south of where you are, cuz most of the Fed stuff is in the Denver area....
but dont get too sure about moving away.

Most people come to Colorado and never leave. I'm a native, born and raised here. The place grows on ya...it really does.

You know you are a true native of Colorado if you know at least 5 more natives, that arent family!

If you feel lonely, I can drive down and give you a hug. ;)

Moosies feeling frisky in his old age  Are we going to see you on dateline?

Yup, we're in Denver, about 15 minutes east of it to be exact. I'm working out at the Tech Center, so the drive isn't too bad. I've met a few natives thus far (mostly at work) and they love it here. I think I need to invest in chapstick and lotion because it's so dry here compared to the 95% humidity that I grew up with. Atleast it doesn't get that hot, so it should be great dc farming weather. We'll see how long we last, I like it here so far, but come this fall, I need to find a way to get Bronco's season tickets.

Be sure to buy sunscreen too. Especially if you shave your head. You burn a lot easier/quicker at that altitude. When I'm working in Utah at elevations of 5800 - 11000ft asl, my poor dome gets fried in a heartbeat if I forget sunscreen or a hat.
