OK, I'm asking in regards to a planned NES case mod I'm going to be doing. It's going to decide the placement of the motherboard and I need to iron this out asap.
It pertains to cards like a 6670, or like the Nvidia 4/5 series equiv's, low profile GPU's.
Would I get a benefit from using a GPU for emulation of things PS2 and below or should I stick with a Intel HD3000 (from a 3.3 Ghz i3 2125, 4 GB RAM @ 1600)
I know most emulation is pretty much CPU only, but some of the 3D systems' emu's can use a graphics card or like DX8 or 9 right? Older stuff like NES and such would be CPU only and run fine.
I just need to know (PS2 would probly be the worst, maybe N64 after that) if It would be worth it to use a GPU and which ones you'd suggest to maximize low power low heat?
Not sure if you can talk emulation on Hard but I'm not asking for links to anything illegal to run, just whats the best way to run the emulator. Thanks
