those scores are pitiful...

personally i get almost 73 fps at 1600x1200 4x/8x on my x800 pro...

Thats because the VST is a joke. Hasn't anyone noticed how you can get great results on one run and come back later and get completely different numbers.

yes but only a couple fps...not 40...

Well Gabe did say the primary role of the VST was to get people to stop annoying him..so ya. :p

Are your CPU and video card both running at stock speeds?

it's the middle-road 6800GT and X800 Pro where things take a turn. Valve has said all along that its game will run better on ATI hardware than it would NVIDIA - that doesn't seem to be the case here where we have the X800 Pro taking a back seat.

yeah by 2 fps! why is 2 fps worthy of such a conclusion? backseat?

Is this the [H] overclockers page?

hehe

I am guessing I would drop to say 65 is at their clock speeds

oc the vid card is good for no more than 5-6 fps.....

Well, your 03 score is about 2500 points higher than it should be if everything's stock -- I'm guessing that you would lose a whole lot more than 5-6fps.

"Trilinear & Anisotropic Optimizations disabled"

translation: disabled for the 6800s, left on for the x800s

I am guessing that they disable it on the 6800's just so they won't make ATI look even worse..The GT is beating the pro in a game that was MADE for ATI hardware... ;)

65.62 and 66.00 drivers are also faster, but I don't blame them for not using those versions since they're not official.

With 66.00 I get:
1600x1200 94.95
1024x768 132.01

1600x1200 4xAA 16xAF 63.94
1024x768 4xAA 16xAF 119.92

The Batman, didnt you say theelviscerator had a XT/PE? Looks to me he has a Pro. Both, moddded?
