After the crew at iFixit took one of the new iPad Pro 9.7" apart, they gave it a repairability score of just 2 out of 10. Some of the biggest complaints revolved around the fused front panel and the "gobs" of adhesive holding everything in place.
 
Apple... finding ways to make it difficult to service your own stuff.
 
It's not meant to be repaired, you're supposed to just buy a new one every year.
 
Tablets...how very 2010-2011.

A few years ago I would see an iPad on most coffee tables when I went round to visit as roving IT support guy. Now they are largely gone, replaced with laptops. The kids just use the old iPad for candy crush.

I still have my 4th gen, it sits on the night stand as an alarm or netflix player at night time.
