and asked buy a speaker set, which would it be? im buying this for a gamer who doesnt really listen to music, but likes to have the option. he has a 7.1 card and isnt affraid to use it but quality/power is a must.

i personally find audio to be one of the things that i only merely dabble in. i thought to myself, hey, the guys at hardocp would know this no problem...

anyway, thanks fellas.

Klipsch. promedia 5.1. There was a thread in hotdeals where you could get a refurb'd ser from them for your price. The other option is to save up the other $50 for the new set.

i think sound quality and detail is a must for gaming. I have never heard the klipsh but I believe that a very nice set of headphones will do better. Get some sennheiser's + an amp and it'll be awsome for music and gaming. AWSOME.

go to dell search for Klipsch 5.1, use this code: $2VLTCNC6JVCBJ
$50 off $100+ order. that means it comes out to about $250
