As per title,

Internet Explorer 7 used to make the most satisfying click noise when ever i entered a web address or pressed back or forward.

Earlier on it stopped:( . All my multimedia settings are turned on as they should be and i've changed or installed nothing. Can anybody please point me in the right direction to get my noise back, or tell me why it has gone away:confused: .

Sound works fine everywhere else.

Trivial i know, but it really is a satisfying noise;)

Muchos thanks

1) Click on Start
2) Click on Control Panel
3) Click on "Sounds and Audio Devices"
4) Activate the "Sounds" tab
5) in the "Program Events" tab, scroll down to "Windows Explorer"
6) What's the "Complete Navigation" sound set to?

Mikeblas, you are 'the' man:D .

It was set to none, now changed back to my click:) (Navigation Start).

If we ever meet, i'll buy you a beer.

Cheers

Roscco

Yeesh, thats one of the very first sounds I turn off on a fresh install :p

In Windows Vista, the click is much more subdued and unobtrusive. In fact, that's probably the single most compelling reason to upgrade to Vista right now. Unobtrusive click FTW!!!!

Yeah, I agree it's less annoying. But I still disabled it. To each, their own.

Don't feel weird, doesn't bother me. In fact, I just realized it is a bit eerie here on my work computer where I only have headphones... that are not usually on my head.
