IE not remembering tab settings

Im getting pretty frustrated with IE, it keeps forgetting tab settings. I can set and apply my tab to open first homepage. It will work for a bit. Then a few days later (could be restart, im not sure), it starts opening blank pages again. I just want it to open google. But it keeps forgetting, anyone know why?
