whats a good idle GPU temperature? my BFG GeForce 7950GT OC is sitting at 34c as i type this and at game load its around 53c

im getting a new Sapphire 5850, the one that comes with a free copy of MW2, just wondering what everyones idle temps are at

those are perfectly fine temps. My 5850 idles at around the same 30-35c, loads at 50-60c.

Well my 5870 idles around 47-50C but that due to my ambient temperature being 29-31C daily. Living in the topics has it advantages but the heat really affects all your components

perfect, i have a fan under the card itself and another fan blowing on the card, i think both are thermaltake something or others, wanna make sure the new card is nice and cool when it gets here

i have the thermaltake big water for the AMD 965 BE X4 when that arrvies as well, just waiting on the Crosshair IV board now

id say tahts pretty good. my main card actually sits about 48-50c when just doing normal browsing. my ambient in the basement here is about 19c. i had to stop using afterburner as it was causing problems with crossfire with the active monitoring...i found it was causing small stutters in some games) so it gets in the 70-79c aread when gaming.
