Just wondering if its normal for my A64 3000+@2.35ghz to jump up that much when under load...i mean i notice alot of people with similar idle temps getting load temps of mid to high 40s, but i get a 15C increase from idle to load w/ an slk-948u. I'm wondering if maybe my TIM application wasn't that great...

oh, ambient is b/w 30-34C throughout the day.

An ambient temp in the mid-30's is good, and a load temp in the low-50's isn't too bad. As for the difference...are you using a good thermal compound, like AS5? If you are, and if you're HSF is seated properly, then you should be fine. Could be that your thermal probe is giving a slightly high reading, which happens often enough.

That is probably normal b/c if I recall right the a64 really lower speeds when they are idle, and you do have a really warm ambient temp.
