Idk what to get!

Alright I'm looking for a new monitor, im thinking more toward the 24". I want one thats nice and wont be out of date within a year cause im planning on using this as my tv and computer for college. I play computer games quite a bit so i need something with a low response time so anybody know any monitors that are good for around 450 or lower?

Here are the only ones I hear about people still buying for well under $500.

If you can still get a LG246wp in one of the local bestbuys or such retailers, jump on it. The rev 2(june 2007 or newer) are by far the best monitors in the sub $650 price bracket (and I dare say best of the PVA/MVA, although the older revision certainly is not as impressive). I have a rev2 LG245wp(online retail version of 246wp) and love it to death, puts my dell 2407WFP to shame sitting next to it.

Allot of people have also been happy with the Westinghouse L2410NM MVA and SOYO 24D6, although they have more than their fair share of particularities.

There also are a mess of cheap TN panels if you can live with one of those at 24". They have great response time, but are not good for TV with their poor viewing angles.
