Idiot move... Boot disk... Please help

Okay so I'm a retard...
Good got that out of the way.

Now. What I did: Boss gave me Partition magic 8.0 floppy disks 1 and 2. Told me to make a copy since the ones he gave me got ruined. So what did I do? I wiped the original 1 of 2 by accident...

I copied using command prompt from a: to c:\PM1 and PM2.
Then i copied from PM1 and PM2 to fresh new floppies (containing files that is, no folder)
Tried them... wont boot. Tried the original to make sure it worked. It did.

So I decided to try using windows floppy copy option. So I went and wiped the floppy so i could make another try. Took the floppy out of the comp, looked at it... I wiped the original floppy 1!

I tried copying the PM1to the original disk that I wiped and no boot... Any suggestions? I do still have the files I copied with cmd prmt...

Okay so I kinda freaked out before trying logical steps to fix the problem. But that's what Hardforum is for? when you freak out?

I fixed the problem. Created a system disk, copied the files from PM1 onto the disk replacing anything it asked for and bam it works... wasn't sure it would since I'm running XP and the disks I assumed were made in Win98.

anyways... all is good
