Hey, got this cooler second-hand. I know it's an "Ultra" brand because that's what was on the sticker on the (IIRC clear) fan rotor. Unfortunately, that rotor had no blades and got thrown out -- I replaced it with the black one in the photo below. I didn't keep the sticker because there was nothing on it other than the logo.

I've already looked everywhere I can think of ON the heatsink assembly and there's nothing identifying there... I called Ultra, but they didn't have enough info to go on...

Can anyone tell me what model this is, and what sockets it supports?

EDIT: that's what I get for hitting "Post" too quickly -- the fan is either 90 or 80 mm, depending on whether you go by the rotor blade span or the size of the area for it.

I'll send Ultra an email -- got their address out of the guy I talked to on the phone. If anyone recognizes the cooler, please post anyways, as I've no patience whatsoever :p

That looks a lot like the old Zalman coolers. Maybe Ultra just provided the fan for the cooler?

EDIT: Could you take a picture of the base/mounting mechanism? It would help us figure out what you can stick it on.

Looks similar except for an all-aluminum construction and ruffled heatsink fins.

According to ULTRA's email folks it's either a # ULT40030 or a # ULT33048. As far as I can find, those are basically different mounting options for the same assembly!

Here, have another shitty photo...

Yeah, the difference between them is mounting hardware. Both "models" fit Sockets 939, 940, and 754, so you should be OK with those.

Wow... you must've done some serious digging to find this thread... this is one antique thread, dude. (Is that a steam shovel in your pocket...?)

If you can tell me the max RPM I can probably find you a rotor for it, I've got a fat pile of fans that I'll never use. Won't be the original but it will work. I won't be able to look till Mon or Tues since I'm out of town for the weekend. Hell, if you want the whole thing I can send you that. Just pay shipping and maybe a couple bucks extra if you feel like it. I will warn you that IIRC I broke part of the mounting bracket somehow, right around the screws... hafta check that tho cuz it's been a while.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
